Stakes company again beckons Tabreed after she dismantled a field in effortless fashion at Keeneland in the United States early this morning. The China Horse Club owned mare made the $US60,000Blandford Purse (1800m) her own when delivering a sweeping run that carried her from a distant last to a four length winner.

The stakes placed mare has been a model of consistency since being secured by the China Horse Club in late 2012. In six starts in the US she has posted two dominant wins and recorded a further three placings. Importantly, trainer Christophe Clement is confident the best is ahead for Tabreed.

Tabreed is the first of the China Horse Club’s runners in the United States but will not be its last. Handpicked to join the stable of Christophe Clement she is fulfilling with aplomb the task she was assigned for.

“Tabreed plays a very important role in our operation and she was specifically selected to open up a new sector of the market for us,” said Eden Harrington, General Manager for the China Horse Club.

“In trying to tackle a market like the United States it was important we had a performer who could win and we specifically targeted a mare that was a progressive type who we hoped could go through her grades and stamp herself as stakes standard.

This is her first season in the US and she has done exceptionally well under the care of Christophe and his team. The goal now is to build of this and build in a manner that is beneficial to our members.”
