Alpina Mountain Resort and Spa
A picture postcard Chinese New Year has been celebrated by members of the China Horse Club in Switzerland with fresh snow continuing to blanket the town of Tschiertschen where the club’s Alpina Mountain Resort and Spa is based and reopened only in December last year.
For many families it was an opportunity to share quality time together in one of Switzerland’s most stunning valleys, a rarity in a busy world of international business and commitments.
“The Chinese New Year is a significant occasion and we are honoured that some of our members have chosen to celebrate this occasion at the club’s resort in Switzerland. They are being hosted at the Alpina Mountain Resort and Spa by our chairman Teo Ah Khing,” said Eden Harrington, Vice President and Head (Partnerships/Membership).
“These members have been enjoying a wonderful time at the Alpina Mountain Resort and Spa in recent days with fresh snow falls making it just beautiful.

“Our guests have toured the resort and the village of Tschiertschen, enjoyed wonderful dining experience with European heads of business and a former head of state and they also ventured to St. Moritz for the famed ‘White Turf’ which sees horses racing on ice. This event has been running since 1907 but continues to grow in appeal every year and, in the Year of the Monkey, the China Horse Club compete for the first time which was great fun for all concerned.”

In keeping with the club’s mantra as a lifestyle club, the White Turf is another ‘must see’ occasion which members will be able to not only watch but participate in. Built around fantastic racing with participants represented from around the world, this national multi-faceted event includes delectable gourmet catering, live music, art and a myriad of other events taking place.

“The White Turf is the latest international event our members have enjoying priceless experiences at. More importantly they enjoyed heightened experiences as owners with our colours competing at the White Turf for the first time by Lacan who is a three time winner already,” Harrington continued.
“Members have enjoyed experiences within China as well as internationally. Our team continues to work on more and more exclusive opportunities for members in exciting destinations. I encourage members to talk to their client representatives to learn more about these wonderful opportunities and to keep an eye on our website www.chinahorseclub.com.”
