Rulership as a yearlingA day after the explosive debut win of Rulership, China Horse Club was continuing its reinvestment into elite racing stock when lifting its number of yearling purchases from the 2020 New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Sale to three.

Rulership was immediately elevated to be second favourite for next months G1 AUD1,500,000 Blue Diamond Stakes as well as the AUD3,500,000 Golden Slipper after leading throughout and gearing down to dominate a high profile field at Randwick over 1000m.

The blueblooded colt is the latest crack juvenile to emerge for CHC who, with its partners, have been significant players in the early season juvenile races to date.

CHC has started 13 two-year-olds this season. Eight are winners of nine races and a further four have been placed in races. The strength of its juvenile stable is franked by Aim having starting favourite in the Magic Millions Juvenile Classic and Rulership and Dame Giselle currently ranked second and third favourites for the Golden Slipper.

“It has been a wonderful start from our team. We remain on track for our main goals for the big two-year-old races but there is a ways to go yet,” said Michael Wallace, Director of Racing and Breeding for China Horse Club.

“Rulership was very impressive on debut and Dame Giselle looks fantastic ahead of her return. They are quality juveniles as are Aim, Wild Ruler, Barbaric, Strike, Untamed, Bartley and others.

“Right now we are continuing to focus on investing in the team we will have in 2021 and beyond. You have to be focused and patient. We bought well at the Magic Millions, our focus is currently on New Zealand and then we will switch out focus to the Inglis Classic then the Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale and the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale.”

CHC secured 16 yearlings in partnership at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale earlier this month. Last year Rulership was one of 18 yearlings the club secured in partnership alongside the prevoiusly mentioned winners Aim, Strike and Untamed.
