A new year, a new batch of foals. Just eight days into 2021 and the China Horse Club is celebrating the arrival of its first foal. The Siyouni x C’est Ca colt is the first of 26 foals due to be born in 2021 for the European arm of the operation and sets a wonderful standard for his future peers to match.

Over the coming weeks and months the China Horse Club is set to welcome more progeny by the exceptional Siyouni as well as stock by fellow French based super sire Le Havre and boom young sire New Bay. All three star stallions are part of the Club’s elite stallion portfolio.

“This is a good colt with plenty of size, strength and scope. Lots of quality and great muscle definition. He’s got his mother’s markings and his sire’s body,” said China Horse Club’s European representative Matt Houldsworth.

“This is a very pleasing start to the European breeding season. The Siyouni colt was born just after 1am on Friday morning and both foal and dam are doing well at this early stage.

“Having a quality Siyouni foal is very important to any commercial breeder. Siyouni had an exceptional season in 2020. His standout performers being Gr.1 Arc winner, Sottsass, and Gr.1 Dewhurst winner, St. Marks Basilica, both of whom were colts. This is a colt well worth monitoring as he develops over 2021.”
