China Horse Club brings a select consignment to the 2023 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale off the back of a wave of high end performances this season from current gradutes Communist (G1), Revolutionary Miss (2 G2s, 2 G1p), Marine One* (G2), Cannonball* (G3, G1p) and Perfect Proposal (G3p).
The boutique draft is exclusively consigned by The Chase. Since its emergence in 2021, The Chase has netted some outstanding results for the China Horse Club from limited opportunities, most recently when finishing as the second best consignor by average at the 2023 Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale.
“The measure of a breeding programme is racetrack results. When you see Communist’s decisive G1 Randwick Guineas win, when you see Revolutionary Miss win the G2 Kewney Stakes having run second in the G1 Thousand Guineas, when you see Cannonball backs up a G3 win with a close third in the G1 Galaxy earlier this month you know the fundamentals are there,” said Alex Kingston, Stud Manager of The Chase.
“I couldn’t be happier with the three Zoustar yearlings in our care. Only one other vendor at Easter will offer more yearlings by this elite sire so it is certainly a mark of the quality of the breeding programme China Horse Club continues to develop.”

Zoustar is having another high quality season led by his exceptional fillies Zougotcha (G1), a leading contender in the AUD5,000,000 Doncaster Handicap alongside the above-mentioned graduate Communist, North Star Lass (G2) and Platinum Jubilee (G3).
At the time of writing, Zoustar is also running at an astounding 25.8% stakes performers/runners with progeny out of Fastnet Rock mares, the very same cross as Lot 137 Zoustar x First Seal colt.
Zoustar is considered by many as the heir apparent to I Am Invincible’s crown as the nation’s preeminent sire. A Champion First Season Sire, Champion Second Season Sire, G1 sire in Britain and sire of 33 southern hemisphere stakes winners already, he went within a hairs breath of building on his iimposing credentials when hardy sprinter The Astrologist was narrowly touched out in the USD1,000,000 G1 Al Quoz Sprint on the Dubai World Cup undercard.
*Marine One and Cannonball were bred in partnership with SF Bloodstock and Matthew Sandblom at Newgate Farm.
