CHC’s American colt partnership with WinStar Farm and Siena Farm has had a memorable holiday season with a quartet of new winners.

Patch Adams (Into Mischief) kicked things off with a bang on Thanksgiving weekend, demolishing a salty field of colts by 10 lengths at Churchill Downs Nov. 28. He is set to try two turns next out in the $1m GIII Southwest S. at Oaklawn Jan. 25, which awards points towards a spot in the GI Kentucky Derby.

“He is a very serious horse,” said trainer Brad Cox. “He is the real deal.”

Gunmetal (Gun Runner) was the next to impress with a powerful performance at the Fair Grounds Dec. 26. Dueling his market rival through swift early fractions, the chestnut colt shook free of that foe in the final sixteenth to win by 1 ¼ lengths. It was over seven lengths back to the third-place finisher. The $410,000 KEESEP purchase is likely to make his next start in the seven-furlong Swale S. at Gulfstream Feb. 1.

Just two days later, Tappan Street (Into Mischief) made his highly anticipated debut at Gulfstream. Stalking the longshot leader throughout, the $1-million Fasig-Tipton Saratoga buy pounced in late stretch, kicking clear to a 1 ¾-length success. Cox is pointing him towards the GIII Holy Bull S. at Gulfstream Feb. 1, a Kentucky Derby qualifying race.

John Hancock (Constitution) was our group’s first winner of 2025 with a debut victory at Tampa Bay Downs Jan. 8. Sent off as the favorite, the chestnut went straight to the lead and never looked back, graduating by three lengths. He will also get a chance on the Derby trail next out, returning to Tampa for the GIII Sam F. Davis S. Feb. 8.

The partnership will be represented by its next runner Jan. 11 at Gulfstream when River Thames (Maclean’s Music) makes his career bow for Hall of Fame trainer Todd Pletcher.
