20251212-EXT WARRIOREternal Warrior

Precocious colt Eternal Warrior has put his name up in lights, landing the Listed Merson Cooper Stakes at Caulfield on debut and becoming the first stakes winner for freshman sire Extreme Warrior.

Bred by China Horse Club and offered through The Chase draft at the 2025 Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale, the sharp colt was secured by trainer Lloyd Kennewell and syndicators Blueblood Thoroughbreds. From the outset, he shaped as exactly what he has become – an early-running 2-year-old with genuine upside and a Blue Diamond-style profile.

“We’re delighted for his connections and he’s struck a first blow for his sire, who we are investors in with Rosemont. He’s a great advertisement for our farm heading into sales season and presents as one of the key horses to follow on the path towards the Blue Diamond. China Horse Club bred Blue Diamond runner-up Revolutionary Miss a few years ago and perhaps this colt will go one better,” said Michael Smith of China Horse Club.

Looking ahead, all roads now lead towards the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes. As Kennewell summed up earlier in the spring, “He looks a real sharp 2-year-old… I like the way he is going.”
