20251211-HAWKER HALLHawker Hall

CHC-bred sprinter Hawker Hall continued his rise through the ranks on Saturday with a commanding front-running victory at Rosehill that has trainer Kris Lees mapping out an ambitious summer and autumn campaign — beginning with a tilt at the lucrative Magic Millions carnival and potentially leading all the way to the Group 1 Galaxy.

The progressive son of Russian Revolution controlled the race from the outset under Kerrin McEvoy, travelling boldly throughout before kicking clear in the straight to register the fourth win of his career. The effort reinforced not only his developing consistency but also the impression that he is now piecing together his considerable raw ability.

Lees was clear in his assessment of the gelding’s upward trajectory, saying:
“The horse is on an upward spiral so if he continues to head in the right direction, he might even be a lightweight Galaxy chance come late March.”

Hawker Hall’s emergence comes at a timely moment for his sire Russian Revolution, who is enjoying a surge of success nationwide, as well as for his immediate family. The Chase is set to offer a half-brother by Extreme Choice, out of the I Am Invincible mare Penang, at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale this January.
