China Horse Club and Newgate Farm signaled their intent when moving with purpose on the first progeny of champion racehorse Justify offered at public auction in Australia.
The strapping chestnut is at the heart of the richest of memories for the Club and the belief in Justify’s ability to replicate the qualities that carried him onto the rare honour roll of being an undefeated U.S. Triple Crown winner is unwavering.
Justify
The Justify x Tails Win colt entered the Inglis sales ring on a loping stride to launch the 2021 Inglis Australian Weanling Sale and was immediately met with considerable interest. But when the dust settled it was the former ownership group in Justify who were celebrating.
The athletic weanling has much to stimulate the faith of the wider market. In addition to being the son of a champion racehorse he is a half-brother to Super One, arguably the fastest juvenile ever to race in Singapore, as well as the jet propelled Super Too, runner-up in the G2 Caulfield Sprint, and a placegetter in the G2 Challenge Stakes.
The colt was the sole purchase by China Horse Club and Newgate Farm who have sourced the chestnut weanling as a future racing prospect. With surging yearling prices throughout 2021, the syndicate were once again looking to source future racing prospects at Australia’s leading weanling sales.
