Diademe
G1 winning mare Diademe will run in the China Horse Club’s red and yellow silks when she fronts in the $500,000 Tatts Tiara (1500m) next month. The star mare was one of two mares secured on the opening day of trading at the Magic Millions Broodmare Sale in Australia.
Diademe, already the winner of the seven races including the G1 New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes in April of this year and twice a winner of the G2 Westbury Classic, will be raced in partnership with Coolmore. Trainer Bjorn Baker will continue overseeing her preparation and her immediate career will be determined after her next start.
Diademe
“Diademe is a beautiful mare, is a quality racehorse and it is exciting to be able to race another star performer in partnership with Coolmore,” said Eden Harrington, General Manager for the China Horse Club.
“We have shared some wonderful moments in a short time with Coolmore thanks to the deeds of Australia in 2014 and to Pride of Dubai over the recent Sydney Autumn Carnival and if Diademe can play a role in our ever strengthening relationship that would be rewarding.”
The beautiful young mare Incredulous will also become part of the China Horse Club’s breeding program in Australia after being secured by its Racing and Bloodstock Manager Michael Wallace. The grey mare is from one of Australia’s most reliable stakes winning families. A daughter of a group winner, she is also a half-sister to a G2 winning mare who has left a stakes winner already.
Incredulous
Incredulous is expected to be mated to one of the China Horse Club’s star young stallions Dissident, Deep Field or Wandjina in 2015.
