Tim Clark steered Rule of Law to a dominant win
For the fifth time in just eight days, China Horse Club has cheered home a winner. Rule of Law, a highly promising and lightly raced colt, continued a week of bonhomie when racing away for an effortless win in Australia today.
The dominant performance follows a succession of wins that began with Cobh (21st August – UK) and has been bolstered by Dame Giselle (22nd August – Australia), Copper Town (26th August – USA) and Harrison Point (27th August – UK).
“It has been a fantastic week to say the least. Importantly, wins have been shared across the different stables in Britain, USA and Australia and at stakes level,” said Michael Wallace, COO of China Horse Club.
“Dame Giselle’s G2 Silver Shadow Stakes win is certainly the most significant of the five wins but Cobh’s win in the Listed Stonehenge Stakes showed great grit and there really is upside with all of the winners. Collectively they could play key roles for the Club over the coming months.”
Rule of Law was a touch slow to begin in his 1100m affair, but mustered speed quickly to settle in third behind the leading pair. Jockey Tim Clark angled him into the open rounding the home corner before issuing his challenge early in the straight and feeling an instant response from his charge. Inside the final 100m Rule of Law raced away from his rivals providing Clark with the luxury of gearing down to win by three-and-a-half lengths.
It was the second successive win by Rule of Law who looks capable of measuring up to more testing assignments.
