A year on from making waves as a debut consignor, The Chase has lit up Magic Millions Adelaide sales complex off the back of some exciting results.
Powered by China Horse Club’s Australian breeding operation, The Chase sold three of the four yearlings offered and closing day one of trading with a series of highlights:
- 2nd leading consignors by average (AUD121,667)
- Co-highest priced filly of the sale AUD170,000 (Strasbourg x Just Zerene filly)
- 2nd highest priced Strasbourg sold in Australia this year
“It’s been a fantastic start to a sale that we have targeted. Alex Kingston and her team have prepped the consignment exceptionally well at The Chase and that groundwork has been telling,” said Mike Smith, China Horse Club’s Australasian Representative.
“The yearlings have really stood out on ground and we have some lovely stock to offer on the second and final day by Russian Revolution, Pride of Dubai and the exciting Cosmic Force.”
It was a year ago that The Chase made its debut as a consignor when selling each of the five yearlings in its consignment for six figures sums. A result which saw it crowned leading consignor for the 2022 sale by average.
Strasbourg x Just Zerene filly is the co-highest priced filly of the sale to date
The 2023 consignment has again held considerable appeal. In addition to the exceptional AUD170,000 realized for the Strasbourg x Just Zerene filly, The Chase has secured other key results including an AUD110,000 result for a Russian Revolution x Exotic Blend filly and AUD85,000 for a Pride of Dubai x Cross Legend filly.
“It is a credit to Magic Millions that their Adelaide sale continues to go from strength to strength,” Smith added.
“The buying bench is here and people are looking for athletic, running stock. We are delighted to have sold well and to have sold to some of Australia’s leading judges and stables.”
