With one session remaining at the 2024 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, The Chase can take great heart in what is only its second foray at one of Australia’s biggest sales.
Against well-established world class operations with more expansive drafts, The Chase has sold:
- Highest priced Zoustar filly
- Highest priced So You Think colt
- Second highest priced Savabeel yearling
- Second highest priced Flying Artie yearling
“Alex and the team have been overseeing these horses for almost 18 months in some cases. Supporting them, caring for them, educating them and preparing them for this occasion so that they can represent themselves in the manner we hope to,” said Mike Smith, China Horse Club’s Australian Representative.
“The results this week are very encouraging and set a tone for 2024. Importantly, for future planning, each of our graduates has gone to good homes and will be trained by some of the leading trainers in the country.”
The Chase takes great heart with notable achievements at the 2024 Gold Coast Magic Millions Yearling Sale.
The eight ‘CHC’ branded yearlings to have sold to date will in time be in the care of the likes of Chris Waller, Peter and Paul Snowden, Mick Price, Joe Pride and Mark Walker. Tomorrow, in the final evening session of the sale, an athletic Capitalist filly out of G2 winner Nurse Kitchen will close the China Horse Club’s draft that The Chase is presenting.
The 2024 Magic Millions Yearling Sale draft represents the first of what will be an expanded season of yearling consignments. Select drafts will be presented at the upcoming Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, Inglis Premier Yearling Sale, Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale and Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.
