Wandjina has tuned up in one of his final hit outs in front of the world media ahead of the G1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes on 20th June. The handsome colt will be fronting the races for the last time in his career before returning to stud in Australia where his first season book of mares is already full.

Trainer Gai Waterhouse, seen here talking to www.racing.com about Wandjina (http://www.racing.com/news/2015-06-12/watch-road-to-ascot—wandjina), is pleased with the manner in which he is progressing and remains buoyant about his prospects.
“He’s a very honest horse, he’s very athletic, he carries himself like a very good horse and he’s already a Group One winner,” Waterhouse told ANZ Bloodstock News.
“We wouldn’t be here if we didn’t think he had a chance. I’ve been here before and didn’t succeed so I’m excited to be back and have another go.
“I had mentioned to the owners early in the piece that it would be a lovely and fitting place for him to come and race, so that he could be exposed to the Northern Hemisphere, because he goes to stud in August but they weren’t that keen.
“After the All Aged Stakes though they came back and sad they’d like to go. I think that’s a wonderful decision and I think [British fans] will be privileged to see him because he’s a special colt.”
