Exciting filly Magic Time extended her unbeaten record when racing away with the AUD200,000 G3 China Horse Club PJ Bell Stakes at The Championships at Royal Randwick.

The Grahame Begg trained filly is a worthy addition to the honour roll of the China Horse Club PJ Bell Stakes, an event with a record of launching the careers of future G1 heroines Politeness, Red Tracer, Private Steer, and Dane Ripper.

“The China Horse Club’s involvement with the Australian Turf Club has carried over many years and the China Horse Club PJ Bell Stakes is a proven launching pad for fillies over The Championships which is horse racing’s grand final,” said Eden Harrington, China Horse Club’s Vice President.

“Congratulations to John Muir, the team at Milburn Creek and Grahame Begg who have a most exciting filly on their hands. We wish them every success going forward and hope Magic Time can build on her reputation and become the next G1 winner to graduate through the China Horse Club PJ Bell Stakes.”

Long time breeder John Muir retained Magic Time after she failed to make her reserve at the 2021 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
