Skywalk cast aside the challenges of a wide draw and high weight to post his ninth career win in Singapore and lift his earnings to almost $S700,000. The striking chestnut Skywalk has been a wonderful servant for CHC’s Singapore stable, winning at least one race every year since his maiden victory five seasons ago in 2016.

“Skywalk has been a wonderful servant for the Club and he has been very well handled by James Peters,” said Eden Harrington, Vice President of China Horse Club.

“Skywalk isn’t an easy horse to place because his rating is so high. It is a downside of his consistency. But every time he goes to the starter we know he is going to be competitive and he never lets us down. During a challenging time right now, his win was a wonderful tonic for all at CHC worldwide.”

Skywalk was given an exceptional ride by Michael Rodd who used the gelding’s tactical speed from a wide draw to take up a position outside the lead. Rodd’s astute move allowed the six-year-old to challenge for the lead early in the straight before fending off the challenge of runner-up Star of Jupiter over the final 200m.
