Three-quarter sister to Communist (G1) is the most expensive Wild Ruler yearling in 2025
With four leading yearling sales now completed across Australasia, China Horse Club can take significant pride that it has sold the highest priced individual by notable first season sire Wild Ruler.
The Newgate Farm based stallion raced in China Horse Club’s silks in a three-season long career that included a swag of notable group wins headlined by the G1 Moir Stakes.
At the close of the 2025 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale no less than 49 Wild Ruler yearlings have changed hands across the two books of the Magic Millions Yearling Sale, the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, New Zealand Bloodstock’s Karaka Book 1 and the Melbourne based event.
“The China Horse Club bred Communist was sold through this sale’s ring and it’s rewarding to see The Chase deliver a quality result like this once again with his three-parts sister,” said Mike Smith, China Horse Club’s representative in Australia.
“She’s a gorgeous filly by a stallion we believe in who’s been raised and prepared very well by the team at The Chase. We wish Rising Sun Syndicate the Healthy Wood Co. every success with her.”
The Chase, based in the Southern Highlands of NSW, is the first choice consignor for the Australian division of the China Horse Club. In concert with its Premier Sale consignment, it is also preparing drafts at the Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale and at next month’s benchmark Australian Easter Yearling Sale.
“Results like the Wild Ruler x Cappadocia filly help set the tone for next month’s Inglis Easter Yearling Sale,” Smith added.
“The Chase is preparing five exceptional yearlings for China Horse Club headlined by a full-brother to G1 Coolmore Stakes winner and now sire Ozzmosis and the second foal out of the stunning Dame Giselle. In partnership with Cressfield Stud, the Club will also be offering a Zoustar x Listen Here colt. Listen Here remains among the very best broodmares in the country and this colt is as good a yearling as she has ever thrown.”
