“It is a great honour to have Professor Dr. Deiss present for the reopening of the Alpina Mountain Resort and Spa,” said Teo Ah Khing, Chairman of the China Horse Club.

“The final touches are in the process of being made to the before it is reopened officially next month and that is very exciting. A great deal of planning has gone into this project and it is rewarding to see it being reopened.

“I have no doubt the improvements will ensure guests have a rewarding experience and I hope the Alpina can once again take its place as a jewel in Tschiertschen.”

The latest reincarnation of the Alpina Mountain Resort and Spa builds upon its long history which dates back to the before the golden age of the Swiss hotel industry. The Alpina was once the meeting place of choice for Swiss trappers, hunters and adventurers and bids to retain its authenticity in the picturesque mountain getaway of Tschiertschen.

When the Alpina Mountain Resort and Spa reopens on 18th December it will showcase some notable internal improvements. Not least of which will be 20 double rooms and seven spacious family and junior suites. Improvements to the dining experience have also been made without losing the Art Nouveau flavour.  Guests will enjoy La Belle Epoque and Panorama restaurants as well as Karmin Bar and the Tropaios Lounge which was named in honour of the China Horse Club’s first feature winner.

“The real beauty is the region itself and the Alpina Mountain Resort and Spa will allow guests to experience this beauty,” Teo added.

“The location of the resort ensures that guests will look down the valley and enjoy some of Switzerland’s most sought after slopes.”
