Last month the China Horse Club and its partner, Qatar Racing, fought off some of the world’s leading racehorse owners to buy an outstanding Galileo x Jacqueline Quest colt at Tattersall’s Yearling Sale in England. Today the colt is demonstrating why he was such a hot commodity, floating over the ground in his first ever canter which was captured on video.
The high quality yearling is being broken in by elite horseman Tim Rushbridge in Gloucester (England) and is taking to becoming a racehorse with great aplomb.
“He is a beautiful and intelligent colt and it does not surprise me at all that he is taking these new challenges in his stride,” said Michael Wallace, Head of Bloodstock and Racing at the China Horse Club, said.
“The first chestnut by Galileo that we raced was named Australia and won three G1 races and is now a very valuable stallion. We don’t want to put undue pressure on this young horse but there is nothing wrong with having aspirations and dreaming a little in this game. He is a quality individual.”
