Longines, the world’s leading equine sports time keeper, has extended its partnership with the China Horse Club ahead of the 2015 China Equine Cultural Festival. Today’s announcement ensures an uninterrupted partnership between the two organizations since the inception of the China Equine Cultural Festival (CECF) in 2013.

Longines is the:

  • Official Partner of the China Horse Club and the CECF;
  • Official Timekeeper of the China Horse Club and the CECF;
  • Official Watch of the China Horse Club and the CECF

“Longines is rightly recognised as a world leader in thoroughbred racing as a timekeeper and as a sponsor of major carnivals such as Royal Ascot, the Dubai World Cup carnival, Kentucky Derby and Oaks, Prix de Diane and more,” said Teo Ah Khing, Chairman of the China Horse Club.

“CHC is honoured to be associated with a premium partner such as Longines. Their involvement at the CECF ensures that members of CHC will again enjoyed the hospitality and pageantry of a famed Longines ambassador and the Miss Longines Elegance Awards.”

Longines’ Global Vice President and Chief Marketing Head, Juan-Carlos Cappelli, Susan Chen, Swatch China, President will be in Wuhan on 19th September 2015 for the next edition of the CECF. Joining him will be Ambassador Aaron Kwok.

“This is the third year of Longines working hand in hand to CHC as partners and be the Official Timekeeper as well as the Official Watch of the China Equine Cultural Festival,” said Mr Capelli.

In 2015 Longines will sponsor the RMB500,000 2015 Longines Cup (2000m). The 2015 Longines Cup will be the flagship race at the Wuhan Autumn Season Opening Race & CECF Wuhan. It will also host the Longines Elegance Award for the third year running.

Longines’ partnership with the China Horse Club has seen it sponsor the RMB500,000 Longines Mile (1600m) at consecutive CECF events in Hohhot (2013) and Zhejiang (2014). In 2013 its Ambassador Kwok was on hand to present the race trophy, in 2014 its Ambassador Lin Zhi Ling graced the stage.
