Before the 2013 CECF the one horse that continued to be mentioned in hushed tones by the French racing team was Villequier, such was the respect they held him in. The stallion was a multiple winner in France before joining the CHC’s China racing team but niggly injuries limited his opportunities to a few starts in late 2015. With those issues now overcome and, having spelled well in preparation for 2016, Villequier is expected to deliver on his Gallic promise and fly the Tricolore in China for those back in France who continue to ask about him.
