The Pearl of the Caribbean (POTC) is a USD5.8 billion mixed use, resort project spread
across three sites at Saint Lucia’s southern tip surrounding the town of Vieux Fort and
the island’s main international airport. The POTC will integrate an unprecedented
level of lifestyle choices, tourist amenities, transportation services, and employment
opportunities, within three fully master planned new communities. These “new towns”
will include a new cruise ship terminal with home port facilities; international marina;
racecourse and accompanying entertainment facilities; beach, ocean, and lake fronting
hotels; hill top, beach and canal side homes and villas; casinos; an international office
park; and mixed-use, pedestrian friendly town centres.
