The 2016 CECF returned to the grasslands of Inner
Mongolia, Ordos. The 2016 CECF Ordos was held as
a precursor to the third International Nadam Festival.
Themed ‘Share the Dream’, the 2016 CECF Ordos set
a new record as the biggest and richest international
horse racing event ever to be held in China, with the
Yitai Cup offering the top prize of RMB1 million for a
single race. This was also the first time that the CECF
partnered with media platforms to livestream across
three continents. Four hours of livestreaming were
made available to racing enthusiasts and reached up
to one million viewers.
