On 20th - 21st September 2013 the maiden step will be taken towards a renaissance of racing in Mainland China with the running of the first internationally endorsed thoroughbred race day. The CECF China Equine Cultural Festival • Hohhot 2013 will see China welcomed back to the most elegant of pursuits by the leaders of the global thoroughbred family.
It is an appropriate return for a sport that has been an intrinsic part of China’s social culture. The renaissance of racing in China is confirmation of the country’s maturing cultural tastes and an indicator of its flourishing future.
The CECF is a collection of events that encompass an invitation only VIP Gala Dinner, an auction of internationally performed thoroughbreds, an International Symposium and a cultural day that includes the CECF Race Meeting.
These events are the genesis of the international equine management and investment group Desert Star Holdings Limited.
Desert Star Holdings is chaired by Mr Teo Ah Khing, the multi-award winning entrepreneur and architect who designed and completed the iconic Meydan racecourse in Dubai. Newly formed in 2012, Desert Star Holdings is a leader in international equine solutions and equine business development.
