government through an incentive-based
residency programme. Through the “Malaysia
My Second Home” initiative, more popularly
known MM2H, a variety of benefits and
incentives are offered to foreign tourists and
investors including long-term visas, house
purchases, domestic help, tax exemption,
car purchase, education, business and
investment set-up, and even part-time work
for retirees.
The Malaysian connection is apparent with

on the potential synergy that China’s and
Malaysia’s elites can bring to promote trade,
