In 2014, Australia was officially rated as equal best 3-year-old after
his exceptional triumphs in the time honoured G1 Epsom Derby, G1
Irish Derby and G1 Juddmonte International Stakes. Australia is being
given the chance to leave an indelible impression as the sport having
been retired to Coolmore Ireland with considerable fanfare. Promoted
as the 'heir apparent' to his sire Galileo, a stallion universally recognised
as the world's best, Australia was described by trainer Aidan O'Brien
as having “good pace” and a “good temperament” - qualities that have
seen him marked as one of the world's most exciting stallion prospects
in 2015.
